Project context
The setting
Recurring technical issues across WordPress environments were making routine changes less predictable and increasing maintenance effort.
Challenge
The problem to solve
The recorded issues crossed plugin interactions, server resources, cache behaviour, database tables, and error logs, so a single plugin change would not address the wider pattern.
My role and scope
What I was responsible for
I investigated recurring WordPress and hosting issues, coordinated fixes across the application and infrastructure layers, and improved the maintenance process.
Investigation and reasoning
- Reviewed plugin and theme conflicts
- Traced server-resource exhaustion and cache inconsistencies
- Inspected database tables and error-log anomalies
Approach and implementation
- Resolved identified software conflicts
- Adjusted cache and Cloudflare configuration where relevant
- Addressed server and database issues within scope
- Introduced clearer ongoing technical checks
Technical Scope
Technical Scope & Verification
Factual records of infrastructure troubleshooting, security hardening, and operational scope completed.
The project record supports a qualitative improvement in stability and maintainability. A previously shown uptime percentage has been withheld because the portfolio does not contain a monitoring period or source report.
- Outcome
- Improved stability
- Scope
- Application + hosting
Evidence note
Existing maintenance and troubleshooting record. No publishable uptime report or dated before-and-after measurement is stored.
Constraints and lessons
What this work made clear
- Recurring WordPress issues often span software and hosting layers
- Qualitative maintenance outcomes should not be converted into unsupported uptime percentages
